Dadirri

Dadirri (da-did-ee)

The word, concept and spiritual practice that is dadirri (da-did-ee) is from the Ngan’gikurunggurr mob of Daly River in the Northern Territory.

Dadirri is the Indigenous spiritual concept of quiet, deep, contemplation and connection to Country.

At Hymba Yumba, Dadirri is practiced by every jarjum on a daily basis.

The acknowledgement of Dadirri invites us to connect deeply with ourselves, this land and by doing so allows us to support and connect with others, where our differences can be acknowledged but our commonalities found.
