Bella isn’t aboriginal, however she does attend this school. She loves her school family, and believe every person is ONE. I asked her this morning what she wanted to do today… “Well mum I’m not celebrating Australia Day”. Her ability to under the difference and support her beliefs, makes my heart so full ❤️ 💛 🖤
This week we were lucky to have activist and podcaster Bogaine Spearim do a poster making workshop with senior jarjum for Thursday's Invasion Day /Survival Day Rally. He spoke about the importance of using your voice and standing up for injustice, inequality, and racism. The jarjum will be holding their signs high as they march proudly in Meanjin tomorrow. ❤💛🖤 ... Hymba Yumba Independent School Comets District Sport Trials: Nominate for 2023
Hi Parents, the Jarjums will have the opportunity to trial for Comets District Sports. This is the pathway to trialling for Met West to play at the Queensland State Championships. There are many sports that are available to trial for the Comets District Team and would be such a great experience for the Jarjums. There may be support for travel that can be arranged should this be an issue for some families. It would be great if you could submit your response by 1/2/2023. Thank you! P. S Please remember, a separate form is to be submitted for each student.
Can’t believe a year n a bit ago I thought 8.40 was early now I start at 6 lmao 🤣
Good luck, and wish lots of fun and laughter today, for all the jarjums ,and the little prepies today .......
